If you’re a working parent then you may be eligible for the 30 hours free childcare scheme. For this childcare benefit, working parents are entitled up to 1,140 hours of free childcare per year which you can use over 38 weeks (term time), or you can decide to use it over the year 51 weeks (all year round)
To be eligible for the 30 hours free childcare you (and your partner if applicable) must be:
- Working or be receiving parental leave, sick leave or annual leave
- Earning at least the National Minimum Wage or Living Wage for 16 hours a week
